This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue passport to the adopted child Alya Kashmira Sumath without police verification.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India appearing for the first respondent submitted that already passport has been delivered and received by the petitioner and hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
