[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the detenu, viz., Ramya, D/o Chithiraikani, aged about 16 years, and to hand over her custody to the petitioner before this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she is a widow and has a daughter aged about 16 years. On 27.07.2025, the petitioner's daughter went out and did not return home. Since the petitioner was unable to trace her whereabouts, she lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent on the same day. Based on the complaint, the respondent, Police registered a case in Crime No.437 of 2025 for "Girl Missing." Since no effective steps were taken by the respondents to find out whereabouts of the petitioner's daughter, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

3. Today, the respondents have produced the missing person before this Court. We enquired her. She submitted that she had gone along with a known person who resides at Thiruthangal and, on coming to know about the registration of the case, the respondent police secured her from Thiruthangal.
