ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 5 to take immediate and effective steps for the removal of the encroachment made by respondents 6 and 7 in Survey No. 75/4, Thamaraipatti 2nd Bit Village, East Taluk, Madurai.

2.We have heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The contention of the petitioner is that his access has been obstructed by the respondents 6 & 7 due to the encroachment.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the encroachment has been identified and steps have been initiated to remove the same. However, such efforts were obstructed by respondents 6 and

7. Though police protection was sought, only one constable was deputed, which 3/6

was insufficient to carry out the removal. Therefore, an application has been submitted to the Superintendent of Police, Madurai, seeking additional police force.

5. In view of the above, the Superintendent of Police, Madurai, is directed to provide adequate police protection to the second respondent to facilitate the removal of the encroachment. The said encroachment shall be removed within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
