The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take departmental disciplinary proceedings as against the ninth respondent / Mr.Muthukrishnan in respect of the illegal activities committed by him for issuance of Patta in favour of Mr.R.Thangavel, Mr.C.Senthilvel and Mrs.M.Uma Rani, in respect of the property comprised in R.S.No.144/2A of Sambaikulam Group Village, Ramanathapuram District.
2. The learned Additional Government appearing for the respondents 1 to 8 states that the ninth respondent / Village Administrative Officer died on 11.11.2017.
3. On account of the death of the ninth respondent, the very relief sought for in the present writ petition to initiate departmental disciplinary proceedings against him cannot be considered. However, in respect of the grievances of the writ petitioner regarding the irregularities alleged to have committed by the ninth respondent in respect of grant of Patta, he is at liberty to approach the competent revenue authorities, under the provisions of the Patta Pass-Book Act, 1983.
4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
