PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner in time scale with effect from 20.12.2001, as per the G.O.Ms.No.84, Municipal Administration Department, dated 21.05.1998, by considering the petitioner representation dated 15.05.2025. 1/4

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Hand Pump Operator of the fourth respondent Town Panchayat seeking a mandamus to consider his representation, dated 15.05.2025.
2.A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner has initially sought for regularisation w.e.f.20.12.2001. However, regularisation orders were passed only w.e.f.19.07.2003. The petitioner has attained superannuation on 31.05.2025. Just prior to his superannuation, the petitioner has sent a representation on 15.05.2025, seeking regularisation w.e.f.20.12.2001. Since, the same has not been considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and in case, he is found eligible, the same shall be forwarded to the first respondent for passing appropriate orders. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 (twelve) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
