Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition in view of the fact that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous, since the selection list pertains to the year 2018, which has been challenged in this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the court bundle.

2. Admittedly, no interim stay was granted in this writ petition, when this writ petition came up for admission during the year 2018. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 27.08.2024 NCC :
