Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to forthwith release the pending dues of Rs.71,24,254/- for the work done by the petitioner based on the representation, dated 26.06.2025 requesting to treat the petitioner on same footing and also to follow the GoI guidelines. ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has provided service to the respondent and that sum of Rs.71,24,254/- is due payable to the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has also given representation, dated 25.06.2025. However, the said representation has not evoked a positive response.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance on a decision of this Court rendered in W.P(MD) No.14699 of 2022 dated 26.07.2022 in the case of Dream Infra Vs. The Managing Director, Tirunelveli Smart City Limited, Tirunelveli and in the case of Quadrantpole Private Limited Vs. The Managing Director, Tirunelveli Smart City Limited, Tirunelveli in W.P(MD) No.23555 of 2022, dated 03.12.2024.

5. It is noticed that in the above said cases, there was a positive direction to consider the representation of the petitioner therein. I find no reasons to take a different stand.

6. Under these circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.06.2025 and dispose the same on merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 04.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Indu To The Managing Director / Commissioner, Tirunelveli Smart City Limited, Tirunelveli - 627 001.
