For Petitioner Mr.S.Arunachalam For Respondent Mr.M.N.Ramkumar COMMON ORDER These two Writ Petitions are filed against an award dated 23.01.2013 passed in I.D.No.42 of 2000 on the file of learned Labour Court, Tiruchirappalli by both parties to the said award.
2. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel on either side brought to the notice of this Court that both parties to
these Writ Petitions have settled the matter amicably between the parties and also entered into a memo of compromise dated 24.10.2025.
3. A copy of the same is also placed before this Court. The terms of compromise in W.P.(MD)No.6994 of 2015 read as under: "1. The Petitioner and 2nd Respondent respectfully submit that a settlement has been arrived at between both parties in respect of the Award passed in I.D. No. 42/2000 by the Honourable Labour Court, Tiruchirappalli.
2. The Respondent agrees to receive a sum of Rs. 2,25,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Only) from the Petitioner as full and final settlement in respect of all claims, including the Award, Gratuity, Bonus, Leave Salary, and any other amounts arising out of the proceedings.
3. Both the parties state that they have voluntarily arrived at this settlement to amicably resolve the dispute and that no further claims or disputes shall be raised by the 2nd Respondent against the Petitioner in respect of this matter in the future.
4. The 2nd Respondent acknowledges receipt of the aforementioned amount and confirms that no other claims remain outstanding against the Petitioner."
4. In the light of the above, the learned counsel for both the parties requested this Court to close the Writ Petitions by placing on record the memo of compromise.
5. Accordingly, both the Writ Petitions are disposed of in terms of the compromise as noted above. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 04.04.2025 Index Yes / No vsm
