(MD). No. 7018 of 2016, dated 22.06.2023.

O R D E R

This contempt petition is filed that the order of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.7018 of 2016, dated 22.06.2023 has not been complied with.

2.Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and submits that pursuant to the order of this Court, the District Collector, Dindigul ordered for an enquiry and during the enquiry, they have found that the following officers are held responsible for the misappropriation of Kujiliamparai Panchayat Union funds.

i. Mr.Muniyandi, the then Block Development Officer, Kujiliamparai.

ii. Mr.Veerakadambu Gopu, the then Deputy Block Development Officer, Kujiliamparai.

iii.Mr.S.M.Parthasarathi, the then Overseer of Kujiliamparai Panchayat Union.

iv. Mr.S.Dhanapandian, the then Assistant of Kujiliamparai Panchayat Union.

3.He further submits that based on the enquiry report, charges under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules have been framed as against the above four delinquent officers. The learned Additional Government Pleader is not aware of the present position of the enquiry. 4.Considering the submissions made on behalf of the respondent that action has been taken as against the delinquent officers, by conducting an enquiry and charges have also been framed as against them, under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, this Contempt petition is closed with a direction to the respondent to conclude the departmental proceedings as expeditiously as possible. This Court expects that the real beneficiaries under the Indira Awass Yojana Scheme shall be identified and the houses shall be allotted to the deserved /eligible persons.
