The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to conclude the proceedings initiated by him dated 12.05.2023, within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the fifth respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.
3.According to the petitioner, the property situate in S.No.8/2A with an extent of 9.50 ares originally belongs to the fifth respondent and the same was acquired by the Government for the purpose of providing 2/5
pathway and drinking water facilities to the persons belonging to Adi Dravidar Community. However, in the revenue records, the subject property still stands in the name of the fifth respondent, even after acquisition. Therefore, the second petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent on 20.02.2023 seeking necessary action for mutation of revenue records. The said application was forwarded by the second respondent to the fourth respondent for necessary action. Thereafter, there is no progress. Therefore, the petitioners have come before this Court.
4.The learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondent 1 to 4 would submit that as on today, the application forwarded by the second respondent is pending on the file of the fourth respondent. Therefore, the fourth respondent will consider it in accordance with the law.
5.In the view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the application of the second petitioner forwarded to him by the second respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.W1/1897/2023, dated 3/5
12.05.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, fifth respondent and other interested parties.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
