Though the matter has been posted under the caption 'for dismissal', there was no representation for the Petitioner when the matter was called at 10.44 p.m, today, apart from the earlier hearing on 14.12.2022. There does not appear to be any useful purpose being served in keeping the Writ Petition pending indefinitely when the Petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the same.

Learned Special Government Pleader for the First to Seventh Respondents, on instructions, states that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties during the peace committee meeting held on 22.08.2022 and copy of its proceedings has been placed on record. 3/6

In such circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed for nonprosecution. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
