For Petitioner :Mr.D.Venkatesh For R1 to R3 :Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry basing on the complaint given by the respondent No.4.

2.It is submitted that there are monetary disputes between the petitioner and the respondent No.4 in respect of mortgage of property, basing on which the respondent No.4 has filed a complaint, on account of which the respondent No.3 has been harassing the petitioner, thereby sought for suitable directions. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the petitioner has filed a complaint dated 16.08.2023 and the respondent No.4 has also filed a complaint against the petitioner and both the complaints are pending with the police for enquiry. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) requested short 2/5

time, so that the respondent police will complete the enquiry in respect of both the complaints.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and on perusal of the records, the respondent police are directed to complete the enquiry in respect of the complaints given by the petitioner as well as the respondent No.4 as expeditiously as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As seen from the records, it is found that the dispute between the petitioner and the respondent No.4 appears to be civil in nature and therefore, in case if the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature, the respondent police shall direct the petitioner to approach the appropriate civil Court for redressal of her grievance. 5.With the above directions, this Petition is disposed of.
