Meenakshi Sundaram, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 378 of 2021 on the file of the respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A7, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section8(c) r/w.20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.378 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was in illegal possession of 1.500kgs of ganja. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would also submit that the entire contraband was seized only from the first accused and he is no way connected with the said offence.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was found in the occurrence place and all the accused were putting the contraband into the bags and some of the accused ran away from the scene of occurrence and this accused ran away from that place.

5. Taking into consideration the seriousness and gravity of the offences said to have been committed by the petitioner and the fact that the investigation is not yet completed, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
