Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner presented the petition-mentioned settlement deed for registration. Registration was refused. Questioning the same, the petitioner filed W.P.(MD)No.10678 of 2024. The writ petition was allowed on 11.07.2024. Contending that the order passed by this Court has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader pointed out that the only ground on which the petitioner's writ petition was allowed was that the registering authority should not insist on production of parent document in original. Now on that ground, registration has not been refused. One Amarnath, S/o.Palanisamy filed protest petition and he has also claimed to be copattadar. It was for this reason, registration has been refused. 2/4

4. I am of the view that the petitioner has to file a fresh writ petition questioning the refusal check slip issued by the respondent. Contempt petition may not lie. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this contempt petition is closed.
