O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the name for house tax into legal heir, as per the Madurai Municipal Corporation Act 1971.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has submitted an application to the second respondent for house tax name transfer. But the second respondent wilfully not considered the same. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation to the first respondent, on 13.09.2022. Since the said representation has not been considered by the second respondent till date, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.09.2022.

5. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.09.2022 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
