ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent. 2.This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 10.03.2025, for re-issuance of the passport.

3. The petitioner is already a holder of a passport issued on 07.04.2017, valid up to 06.04.2027, vide Passport No. P9339339. It is the case of the petitioner that the pages in the said passport have been exhausted and therefore, the petitioner has applied for a fresh passport.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that there is no question of issuing a fresh passport before the validity period is over. However, it is stated that the petitioner is entitled to an additional passport. 2/4

5. Recording the above submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, this Court directs the respondent to issue an additional passport to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
