O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police 1 to 3 to take action against the respondent No.4, basing on a representation dated 15.07.2023 given by the petitioner.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner has joined in two chit groups with the respondent No.4 and even though the petitioner has become succesful bidder, the respondent No.4 has not paid the money and when the petitioner has demanded, the respondent No.4 with anti-social elements has threatened the petitioner, basing on which, a complaint has been filed. However, the Police have not taken any action.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the petitioner has not given any complaint so far in person and though a complaint was received by the 2/5

Police through post, it does not have any signature or other particulars. It is submitted that in case the petitioner is filing a fresh representation, an appropriate action will be initiated.

4. The issue between the petitioner and the unofficial respondents is purely in respect of chit business. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to file an application before the Police, on filing of which, the Police are directed to dispose of the same by following the procedures within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
