Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose the proceedings in O.Mu. (A7)/0943/2025 dated 17.03.2025 relating to rectification of town survey extract in respect of old Survey No.234/7B, New Survey No.156/3 extent mentioned that 12.5 dq.mrytr instead of 121.5 Sq.Metre within time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the proceedings in O.Mu.(A7)/0943/2025, dated 17.03.2025 pending on his file within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Vadivelan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional
Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and 6 and Mr.Kishore Ram, learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an application before the third respondent seeking rectification of revenue records pertains to Old Survey No.234/7B, New Survey No.156/3, Indhira Nagar, Pirattiyur East Village, Edamalaipatti Puthur, Trichy Taluk, Trichy District. Based on the said application, the third respondent in his proceedings in O.Mu.(A7)/0943/2025, dated 17.03.2025, directed the Divisional Inspector of Survey, Trichy, to conduct a spot inspection and submit a report. Thereafter, there is no progress. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and 6 would submit that the proceedings pending on the file of the third respondent will be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to complete the enquiry initiated by him in O.Mu.(A7)/0943/2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
