ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed for a direction to the learned VI Additional District Judge, Madurai to dispose of RTA No.1 of 2022 within time a frame fixed by this Court.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that RTA No.1 of 2022 has been filed as against the order passed in RLTOP.No.77 of 2020 dated 30.09.2021. As per Section 38(2) of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, if any appeal is preferred as against the RTLOP proceedings, it has to be concluded within a period of 120 days after the service of notice on the respondent. In this case, the respondent has filed RTA No.1 of 2022 on 03.01.2022 and the petitioner has also entered appearance on 28.03.2022. But it is not disposed of so far. 3.

As per Section 38(2) of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, if any appeal is preferred as against the RTLOP proceedings, it has to be concluded within a period of 120 days after the service of notice on the respondent. In view of the above provisions, the learned VI Additional District Judge, Madurai is directed to dispose of RTA No.1 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This Civil Revision Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
