ORDER

By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to change the legal heirs names of the petitioner's father late.A.Arockiya Raj house tax, water tax and UGD tax receipts on the basis of the petitioner's representation on 13.02.2024 and 23.03.2024 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's father was paying all the taxes to the corporation for their property. While so, after the demise of his father, his elder brother was paying the tax in his name. However, his elder brother has also passed away on 18.12.2023, who is unmarried. In order to change the petitioner's family members names in the records of the corporation and to pay tax in the name of the legal heirs of his father, the petitioner sent a representation to the 2nd respondent. However, without passing any orders, the 2nd respondent has sought for document of description of the owner. The petitioner has also 2/4

applied for legal heirship certificate of his father. However, both the applications were pending with the 2nd respondent without passing any orders. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. I have considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited scope of the matter and without going into the merits or the contentions of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.02.2024 and 23.03.2024 and the application with regard to legal heirship certificate dated 27.08.2024. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 09.09.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No RR 3/4
