PRAYER :- To enlarge the petitioner/accused no.2 on bail in connection with the case in WLOR No.12/2023 on the file of Respondent. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused No.2 herein, who was arrested on 21.07.2023 for the alleged offence under Sections V(1), 12(14)(16)(a)(b)(c), 35, 36, 37 Rule V Section 11, 7 and Article V Section 39(1)(d), Section 9, Section 51(1) of Wild Life Protection Act in WLOR.No.12 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 20.07.2023, on information, the respondent police made search upon the house of the petitioner. They found 2.500 1/3

gms. Of spotted deer meat and 800 gm. Of wild pig meat wrapped in black plastic paper in the fridge. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. The raw meat seized from the petitioner are only domestic cow and domestic pig. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is still pending.

5.Considering the period of incarceration of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with stringent conditions. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.
