ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for R1 & R2.
2. Patta in respect of the petition mentioned land stood in the name of the petitioner. By the impugned order dated 13.02.2014, it was cancelled. The District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai did not put the petitioner on notice before cancelling the patta. On this sole ground of violation of principles of natural justice, the impugned order is set aside. The matter is remitted to the file of the first respondent. The first respondent shall hold a fresh enquiry. He will issue notice to all the stake holders and thereafter, final order on merits and in accordance with law will be passed. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
