This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue patta in the petitioner's name in respect of land in Survey No.79 subdivided the survey No.220/6 situated at Kallurani Village, Pattarkanmoi @ Achukuli, Sevaoorani Group, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District based on his representation dated 04.07.2023.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and disposed of by the second respondent in accordance with law, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

3. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a 2/4

direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.07.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
