This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to cancel the sale deed dated 13.02.2020 registered as Document No.1323 of 2020, based on the representation made by the petitioner on 22.09.2021.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The relief sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be granted by this Court, since the second respondent is not a competent authority to deal with the cancellation of documents. The petitioner ought to have made a representation before the District Registrar who alone can deal with such a petition. 2/4

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned District Registrar and file an appropriate petition seeking for cancellation of documents and the same shall be dealt with on its own merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to all the interested parties. No costs.
