2. The petitioner questions the award of contract to cut Karuvelam trees. The seventh respondent was the successful bidder. The petitioner has offered to pay higher amount. In normal circumstances, this Court would have gone into the merits of the matter. But in this case, the issue has become infructuous. The writ petition was filed in the year 2015. We are now in August 2023. The petition-mentioned trees have already been cut and removed. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication. This writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
