ORDER

The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.16 of 2023. He has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to conclude the investigation and file the final report within a stipulated time.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the case was initially registered under Section 174 Cr.P.C. on 18.01.2023. After investigation, they have not found out any commission of offence. Therefore, they have filed the final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate on 16.03.2023 as 'action dropped'. Being not satisfied with the final report filed by the respondent Police, the petitioner has filed a petition before this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.4642 of 2023 and this Court, by order dated 27.06.2023, ordered for further investigation. Therefore, the respondent Police is conducting further investigation in Crime No.16 of 2023 and they have also sought for expert opinion. Now, they have received expert opinion and they are likely to file the final report within four weeks.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent Police to file the final report within a period of four weeks.
