PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu Sowmya, aged about 21 years, W/o. Kannan before this Court and set her at liberty.

Pursuant to the earlier order passed by this Court on 30.09.2022, the detenu was produced before this Court.

2. We enquired the detenue and she stated that she is aged about 22 years and she was treated badly by the petitioner, who is her husband and hence, she left the matrimonial home and she joined in a Mill

at Karur and was staying in a hostel. She expressed her willingness to go along with the petitioner. The petitioner / husband was also present before this Court and he stated that he will take the detenu along with him.
