It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that his retirement benefits were advanced to the respondent/accused as a hand loan and the respondent has issued a cheque in discharging the same but it was dishonoured thereby he filed a complaint in S.T.C.No.181 of 2022 against the respondent/accused in the year 2022, but the case is still pending thereby sought for suitable directions.

3. Heard both sides and perused the records.

4. S.T.C.No.181 of 2022 is though filed one year ago enquiry has already began, P.W.1 was examined in chief on 13.06.2023 the matter was adjourned for cross-examination. According to the counsel for the petitioner reasons are not given for adjourning the case from time to time. On account of change of vakalat, the matter was again adjourned. Keeping in view of the fact that the petitioner has allegedly advanced his retirement benefits to the respondent/accused, this Criminal original Petition is disposed of directing the learned Fast Track Court No.I, Madurai (Judicial Magistrate level, Madurai) to 2/4

dispose of S.T.C.No.181 of 2022 as quickly as possible, not later than four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
