The petitioner has approached this Court that the respondent police has not filed the final report in Crime No.274 of 2023, pending on the file of the respondent police. 1/4

2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice for the respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.274 of 2023 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Nilakkottai, on 19.07.2025, through e-filing No. 2022 000 13298 C202500154.

3.Since it is reported that the investigation has been completed in Crime No.274 of 2023 and final report has also been filed before the concerned Magistrate Court, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, with liberty to this petitioner to challenge the final report, provided if he is having any grounds. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is filed in order and it is taken on file by the concerned Court within a period of two weeks. It is also the responsibility of the concerned Courts to take the final report on file, if it is filed in order, within a period of two weeks. 07.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No vrn 2/4
