ORDER
The first respondent has an appeal dated 16.09.2021, pending before his office.
2.It is stated that the petitioner, had applied for renewal of a passport. The second respondent had sent a letter and reply was also given. It is seen that the fifth respondent had called the petitioner for an enquiry with respect to the passport renewal. 3.It is stated that the fifth respondent had registered a case in Crime No.476 of 2021, for the alleged offences under Section 417 and 471 of IPC, in which, the investigation is still pending. The third respondent had passed the order impugned revoking the passport under Section 10(3)(b) of the Passport Act, 1967. An appeal had been filed before the first respondent.
4.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India, on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.J.John Rajadurai, learned Additional Government Pleader, for fourth and fifth respondents. A direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal on or before 31.01.2022, after following due procedure as established by law. 5..With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
