ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to 1/4

direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.1 of 2024 dated 26.03.2024 on the file of respondent police within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by one Muneeshwaran, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.1 of 2024 on 26.03.2024 against three persons for the alleged offences under Sections 406, 420 and 120B IPC and Section 5 of TN Prohibition of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997, that they have already received 614 complaints and the said complainants came to be examined and they are expecting 3000 more complaints, that they have already freezed 2 accounts and recovered some properties and that since they are expecting further complaints, they are not in a position to complete the investigation.

3. Recording the same, the respondent police is directed to take necessary steps for getting the complaints at an earlier date and to 2/4

complete the investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
