Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner's brother died in a two wheeler hit and run accident. According to the petitioner, a public transport bus is suspected to be involved. There are some materials available to sustain the said claim. There is some CCTV footage. Though the FIR was registered in September 2021, according to the petitioner, the second respondent has not taken any action. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition came to be filed for transfer of investigation.

3.When the matter was taken up for disposal, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that the second respondent has written to TNSTC. The second respondent is confident that a favorable reply would come soon. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.18838 of 2021 4.I direct the concerned authorities of the Transport Department to speedily respond to the second respondent. If this direction is not complied with by the Transport Department, the second respondent or the petitioner can move this Court for contempt. As and when the reply is received from the transport authorities, the second respondent shall take action as per law. In any event, final report shall be filed within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, accordingly.
