ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned order dated 06.06.2025 and consequently direct the respondents 1 an 2 to issue the duplicate Death Certificate of the petitioner's father, namely, Maharoof.

2. Through the impugned order, the respondent has stated that the original signed copy of the Death Certificate has already been issued, and therefore, a duplicate copy cannot be provided.

3. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has misplaced the original Death Certificate, and hence, he seeks a copy of the same from the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that a duplicate copy cannot be issued, however, a certified copy can be provided.

5. Recording the said submission, the impugned order is quashed. The official respondents are directed to issue a certified copy of the Death Certificate 2/4

within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
