ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.1/Fast 1/4

Track Court, Madurai to expedite the trial and to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.107 of 2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Since the petition is filed for early disposal of the case, issuance of notice to the respondent is not necessary.

3. The respondent/complainant has filed a private complaint under Section 200 Cr.P.C. against the petitioner/accused for the offences under Sections 138 r/w 142 of Negotiable Instruments Act and the case was taken on file in S.T.C.No.107 of 2016 and is pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1/Fast Track Court, Madurai.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the case is pending for evidence and is being adjourned again and again without proceeding with the trial.

5. Since the case is pending from 2016 onwards, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1/Fast Track Court, Madurai, is directed to complete the trial in S.T.C.No.107 of 2016 and dispose of the same 2/4

within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
