ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for 1/3

the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 IPC in Crime No.720 of 2023, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners cheated the defacto complainant in the guise of obtaining job in abroad and when he questioned about the same, they threatened him with dire consequnces. Hence the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that the petitioners have returned a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the investigation in this case is not yet completed. 5.On perusal of records, it is noticed that there is no evidence for repayment of the amount. Hence, considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
