ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents not to permit erection of any cell phone tower within the residential area in S.No. 66/1B respectively situated in Nazerath Village, Aral Taluk, Thoothukudi District in accordance with law.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the 4th respondent submitted an application on 30.04.2025, and the same was approved as per the applicable rules and regulations.

3. Since the respondents have already granted approval, the writ petition cannot be entertained. Further, the issue has already been settled by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Sundarajan vs. Union of India, reported in (2013) 4 Supreme 354.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 07.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes KSA To:
