O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to provide permission and police protection to the petitioner for conducting festival for Sri Sudalaimandan Temple, Tharagankadu, Kurugapuram, Tisaiyanvilai Taluk and Tirunelveli District to be held on 06.09.2024.
2. Mr.M.Muthu Manikkam, learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 3 and 4. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

It is not in dispute that the petitioner had earlier filed a petition in W.P(MD)No.20544 of 2024, seeking permission and to provide police protection to the petitioner for conducting the festival for Sri Sudalaimandan Temple, Tharagankadu, Kurugapuram, Tisaiyanvilai Taluk and Tirunelveli District and this Court, vide order, dated 29.08.2024, taking note of the submission made on either side, directed the RDO to conduct a peace committee meeting and take a decision, in accordance with law, within a period of three days from the date of receipt of the copy of that order.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that in pursuance to the direction of this Court, the RDO convened a peace committee meeting and took a decision that both A and B party have to perform the festival jointly, without any issue.
5. But, the RDO has taken a decision for conducting the festival in the year 2025 and not for the present year 2024. 3/6
6. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the private respondents would submit that they are ready to conduct the festival jointly and that the petitioner's representation may be considered.
7. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, if the petitioner group as well as the private respondents group are ready to conduct the festival jointly and pass orders within two days from today (ie.,05.09.2024)
8. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
