CORAM:

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE R.SUBRAMANIAN anD THE HONOURABLE MRS.JUSTICE L.VICTORIA GOWRI Sivanantham ... Appellant Vs.

Menaka ... Respondent PRAYER: Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is filed under Section 19(1) of the Family Court Act, to set aside the fair and decreetal order made in I.A.No.174 of 2022 in HMOP No.147 of 2021 by the Family Court, Pudukkottai dated 30.08.2022. For Appellant :

[Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] The husband is on appeal against the order of the Family Court, Pudukkottai, dated 30.08.2022, granting monthly maintenance at Rs.25,000/- to the wife.

2.Though the learned counsel for the appellant/husband would vehemently contend that the award of Rs.25,000/- as monthly maintenance is on the higher side considering the fact that the respondent/wife is also employed, we are unable to accept his submission, considering the fact that the appellant/husband is employed at Singapore and he is earning 2,200 Singapore Dollars per month. Even after deducting 50% towards his personal expenses, he would be left with considerable amount to pay monthly maintenance of Rs.25,000/- to his wife. 3.In such circumstances of the case, we do not think that we should interfere with the quantum of maintenance. Hence, this appeal fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
