For Petitioner : Mr.S.Sathya Chidambaram For R1 to R3 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (crl.side) O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner from the unofficial respondents as per the complaint given by the petitioner on 16.08.2023.

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that at the time of marriage, the sixth respondent, who is the wife of the petitioner, was having some mental disorder and consequently, the disputes arouse between them. The petitioner has filed O.S.No.1164 of 2023, seeking custody of the child, wherein, the respondent No.6 was set ex-parte. The petitioner has also filed H.C.P(MD).No.951 of 2023 before this Court and the same was allowed and the child was handed over to the petitioner. It is submitted that in spite of directions of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in the Habeas Corpus Petition, the unofficial respondents are trying to take away the minor child.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the unofficial respondents have never tried to take away the child from the petitioner and that they have informed the petitioner that they will approach the appropriate Court for remedy in respect of the issues between the petitioner and the unofficial respondents.
4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, in case if the petitioner feels any threat from the unofficial respondents and the unofficial respondents makes any steps to take the child from the petitioner against the directions of the Court, he is at liberty to approach the Police, on which, the respondents Police are directed to provide the police protection.
