ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to grant 10 days emergency leave without police escort to the petitioner's husband, namely, Pasupathi, S/o.Ramesh, Convict Prisoner, PID No.276634, confined at Central Prison, Trichy, for attending the serious illness of his mother, namely, Mrs.Lakshmi, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2025.

2.Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 19.07.2025 strictly in accordance with

law and take a decision within a period of one weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
