Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to take necessary steps to measure the land and fix the boundaries bearing S.F.Nos.18/3A, 19/1B and 19/2 in Patta No.141 in proceedings of the first respondent in Ne.Mu.1626/95/A to an extent of 0.02 cent situated at Nilakkottai dated on 29.06.2018 belonging to the petitioner with the necessary police protection, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.10.2021.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the first and second respondents /the Special Tahsildar,Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Nilakkottai Taluk,Dindigul District and the Taluk Surveyor, Nilakkottai Taluk,Dindigul District, to take necessary steps to measure the lands of the petitioner and fix the boundaries bearing S.F.Nos.18/3A, 19/1B and 19/2 in Patta No.141 measuring 0.02 cents at Nilakottai.The petitioner had given a representation on 22.10.2021 in this regard.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had been assigned the aforementioned lands by way of an assignment patta. It had been stated that representation had been given for conducting a survey. Since, there has been no response, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.S.Sivaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents.

4. A direction is given to the first and second respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner, inquire into the holdings of the petitioner and examine the assignment patta granted to the petitioner and thereafter, proceed further to measure the property of the petitioner and demarcate the same. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
