O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli, to dispose of the case in C.C.No. 1103 of 2023 within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The petitioner has preferred a complaint before the first respondent and the same was registered in Crime No.25 of 1996 for the offence punishable under Sections 418, 463, 464, 471 r/w. Section 341 IPC. Thereafter, a final report was filed on 17.03.2002 and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.1 of 2016 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli and subsequently, it was transferred to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli and the same was numbered as C.C.No. 1103 of 2023.
3. To verify the stage of the case, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli, was directed to submit a report on 04.09.2023 and the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli, has submitted a report that the case is posted for furnishing copies on 06.10.2023. Hence, considering the fact that the case is pending for the past 28 years, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the learned Chief Judicial 2/4
Magistrate, Tirunelveli, to dispose of C.C.No.1103 of 2023, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
