Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to give their permission to conduct the Mathagu Eduppu Festival which is the religious ceremony of the petitioner and to organize the Tamil Cultural drama namely Sri Valliyammai Marriage on 14.12.2021 by consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2021. ORDER

The petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to grant permission to hold the petition mentioned event.

2. There does not appear to be any communal angle. The third respondent is therefore directed to give permission to the petitioner to hold the petition mentioned event. It is open to the third respondent to incorporate appropriate conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner through his counsel gives an undertaking that the organizers of the event will adhere to the police directives.

3. Recording the said undertaking, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
