ORDER

By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to correct the petitioner's name as V.Sabarish instead of V.Sabarish Karan in the Service Register of the petitioner's father on the basis of petitioner's school certificate and other documents on the representation dated 26.12.2024.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that pursuant to the death of the petitioner's father, who was working in the respondent Management as Grade I Conductor, the petitioner has made an application seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. In the service register of the petitioner's father, the name of the petitioner is mentioned as Sabarish Karan instead of Sabarish and in order to rectify his name, the petitioner 2/4

has approached the respondents. However, the respondent has sent a communication dated 01.02.2025 thereby directed the petitioner to approach the respondent along with necessary documents to substantiate his claim.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Considering the limited scope of the matter, without adverting to the merits or the contentions made, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner on the basis of the legal heirship certificate and school records and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
