ORDER

By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and cancel the punishment of 6 months increment cut with cumulative effect in the representation dated 17.06.2025 as mentioned in the 15th wage settlement for relaxing the extend the time for appeal petition to the respondent corporation, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that when the petitioner was working as a Driver, the bus driven by him met with an accident and therefore, punishment was imposed on him and for cancelling the said punishment, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent and the appeal dated 17.06.2025 was not disposed of. Therefore, the 2/4

petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Considering the limited scope of the matter, without adverting to the merits or the contentions made, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the case of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
