This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct rally from Devar Statue to Sandhias Hall via Thriuvallur Statue in connection with the Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration on 02.10.2022 and prize distribution to the school students at Sandhias Hall, Bodinayakkanur, Theni District, based on the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.09.2022.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents and would submit that difficulties have been experienced and exposed by the respondent police on 02.10.2022. There are several events have been arranged and they have give protection to the above said events. Therefore, they are not in position to extend the protection to them. The petitioner may arrange the rally to some other day. So far the distribution of prices to the School Students, they have no objection. 3.The respondents give no objection for the price distribution. Let the programme with regard to the price distribution may be taken on that day itself . So far as rally, the petitioner may arrange an alternative date 2/4
and after that he may revive his representation before the concerned authority. Then the concerned authority shall dispose of the same in accordance with law.
4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
