ORDER

According to the petitioner, her son, namely, Kevin Kirubha made an application to the respondent, seeking passport. However, the same has been returned on the ground that the name of the petitioner is wrongly mentioned as Rajni instead of Jeba Rajini in her husband's passport, whereas the petitioner's 1/4

name is correctly mentioned in all other documents. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

2.Mr.P.Subbiah, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that not only the name of the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned in her husband's passport, but also the name of the petitioner's husband is also different in the application. In the original passport issued in the name of the husband of the petitioner, the name is referred as Sobitharaj, whereas in the application, the name is mentioned as Sobitha Reji. Hence, it is the contention of the respondent that unless those corrections are carried out and the correct name is included in the passport of the parents, it is very difficult to process the application of the petitioner's son and the petitioner's husband can also make an application before the embassy at Saudi Arabia.

If the application is made with all the relevant documents, substantiating the original name, the same will be considered and orders will be passed by the respondent. 3.In view of the said submission, the husband of the petitioner is directed to make an application through embassy along with all the relevant documents before the authorities concerned.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
