Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on the last hearing date i.e. 05.08.2024, had submitted that this writ petition has now become infructuous, since the petitioner has challenged the transfer counselling notification, dated 02.07.2018, which pertains to the year 2018. On the last hearing date, learned counsel for the petitioner sought time to get instructions. Accordingly, the matter was adjourned for hearing today.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would now admit that this writ petition has become infructuous. However, he would submit that there are connected writ petitions pertaining to the very same issue, which are to be listed for hearing.

3. Insofar as this writ petition is concerned, as seen from the prayer sought for in this writ petition, the same has now become infructuous, since the transfer counselling notification, dated 02.07.2018, pertains to the year 2018 and the transfer counselling, as per the notification, was also completed.

4. After hearing the submissions of both the learned counsels, this writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 07.08.2024 NCC :
