ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members to life and limb at the hands of the respondents 3 and 4 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.09.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the Inspector General of Police and the same was forwarded to the second respondent and the same is pending for enquiry in current paper. He would further submit that though the petitioner has appeared on receipt of the summons, he has not produced the CCTV footage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he has already produced the CCTV footage. 2/4

4. Recording the same, the petitioner is directed to hand over the CCTV footage once again to the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police and on receipt of the same, the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police is directed to issue written summons to the private respondents and conduct enquiry in the petitioner's representation dated 04.09.2024 and take a decision within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of the CCTV footage from the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
