The petitioner claims that the petitioner's father one Ariyathambi, Kandhasamy and Chellammal are the legal heirs of the petitioner's grand father, one Marimuthupillai and grandmother Palaniammal. The petitioner's paternal uncle, one Kandasamy was not married and he died on 27.10.2006. The petitioner's father also died. With regard to the properties stands in the name of Kandasamy, on the application submitted by one Muthiah, the sixth respondent 2/6
herein, the son of Chellammal, the properties of Kandasamy have been transferred in the name of the respondents 6 to 8. Therefore, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer on 27.07.2023 and filed this writ petition for a Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the appeal and pass orders as expeditiously as possible. The learned counsel for the petitioner apprehending that by way of this mutation of revenue records, the respondents 6 to 8 are attempting to alienate the subject property. Therefore, he requests for an early disposal. 2.Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 submits that the enquiry is under process and it would be concluded within a reasonable time.
3.Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible preferably 3/6
within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is at liberty to file an application for interim protection before the Revenue Divisional Officer, in the meantime. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
